I am sorry, no offense, but it is a very superficial observation of "FARANG"... I don't know how long you have been in "FARANG" but you definitely need more time to know the people as they are... We are responsible not to give wrong ideas to those living in Iran. You have every right to write your observations even if you have been here for a day only. But please leave some room for uncertainty...

Dear Friend .. first of all, thanks for reading my blog ..
I would like to tell you that I had some more important points above rather than describing Farang which I am with you that there are many Farangi people not like that too!..
moreover I would like to ask you to share your observations instead of just denying mines and I will be grateful for that .. cuz denying always reminds me of "Harke inkar nadanest dar enkar bemand" as Hafiz said and I hope that wouldnt be true for any of us..

Hi Pouya,
Thanks for the reply. First of all, I am not denying your observations. How can I? They are YOUR observations and this is YOUR blog and as I mentioned before you have every right to share them with whoever you want. All I wanna say is that we should be more careful about what we say.
I am Iranian and lived in Iran for 25 years before I come to "Farang". But still, if you ask me to write a short paragraph about Iran to summarize how I feel about Iran and Iranians I can't. 25 years of living there and still I can't. So believe me, I cannot write a short paragraph about my 5 year life experience in "Farang". It will not be right. But maybe it's just me. There are hundreds of blogs written by Iranians in Farang where they share their everyday observations. Reading all of them might give us just a portion of reality...

If I may interject...

I think that what's really superficial is "reality." Every person has their own "reality," and I was fortunate to share a small, yet important part of mine with Pouya's by virtue of attending the same undergraduate college and partaking in many of the same activities, and even better, being bestowed his friendship. I'm one of those people that may not have always called Pouya when I missed him -and now I don't wait for people to miss me, I seek them out myself. While some of it might simply be a matter of maturation, I can't pretend that living here in "farang" hasn't helped me become more honest with myself... I can appreciate many of the other points he brings up as well.

Also, I read the whole thing very differently -I saw it more as a criticism of our lifestyles, our (newly?) acquired pretentious culture in Iran, than as a glorification of Farang. And let's be honest -not everyone has the same potential for penning their feelings and observations.

I hope none of this comes across as an attack or in any way unfriendly. Pouya is one of the kindest people I know -I consider his blog to be a place to engage in his kindness, long-distance. (:

Sareh jan i must thank you for your kind comment first..
secondly .. your are right .. the whole thing came up from a really personal issue which I always try not to let the personal issues to here .. but some times i fail.. again .. I was trying to bring up some of our issues .. Farang has its own flaws for sure..
